Once upon a time (to be exact, it was in the year 2000) two innovativ DJ's and Liveacts from Zürichs Techno-Scene where booked together for a Jam-Session-Gig at a small underground Venue.... and it really rocked the Place!
The great Feedback from the Audience and the fun playing live with a lot of Machinery was the Inspiration for Bang Goes (Roland Widmer) and styro2000 (Marcel Ackerknecht) to go on with this Constellation, and so since then, they play Gigs and do Tracks under the Name „Die Galoppierende Zuversicht“. This, for non-german speaking People unpronouceable Name ([ˈdi] [ˈɡalˈoːpiːʀˈɛndə] [tsuːfɛɐ̯ˈzɪçt] if You want to try it) is some sort of Joke and says translated „The galopping confidence“ but has more the meaning of silly optimism. The same sort of fun that drives the live-acts of the dynamic Duo, and its really live... no Computers and prerecorded Stuff is used, the improvising and creating new Grooves and Sequences with Drummachines, Synthesizers and self-devloped Gear on the fly keeps the Music fresh and every Performance unique. With this concept and the knowlege how to move the Dancefloor the two swiss guys played at several Festivals, Raves and Clubs like Mutek (Montreal/Ca.), Fusion (Germany) Burning Man (USA), Vision (Switzerland), Panorama-Bar (Berlin/Germany), Privilege (Ibiza), Hot-Cakes (Mexico-City), Wolf+Lamb (New York), Kontrol-SF (San Francisco), Godet (Istanbul/Turkey), FM-Club (Peking), Buddah-Bar (Shanghai) and many more...
The Music is an Amalgam of energetic Drums and Percussion, funky Basslines, minimalistic Melodies and and a Pinch of Acid, just the right Sound to burn the Dancefloor and to elevate your Mind. Usualy a Performance goes about 60 - 90 Minutes (can be longer on Request) and is well suited for the early morning hours.
Beside of playing Live and Djing „Die Galoppierde Zuversicht“ are producing Records with a strong Focus on perserving this Live-Feel, like the Track „linguini al denta“ (released on the bruchstueke-Label) that was licenced from Richie Hawtin for his DE9 | Transitions-Compilation and from Sony for the Playstation-Game „Mix'n'Effects“. As Sideproject under the Name „Aerofloat“ they composed Electronica-Chillout-Music for the „Swiss View“-Serie running on Swiss Television, which is also available thru Warner Home Video.

G: "One is called Monopoli and the other one NobodyNose...funny eh??? You got the
joke with the words???"

Die Zukunft ist ein Nebel, der uns einhüllt, und kaum erkennen wir das Morgen, schmeckt es nach dem Heute. Jan r.k.’s Credo ist eindeutig: Am wohlsten fühlt er sich, bei Morgendämmerung, wenn die Intensität der Nacht ausklingt, einem das Gefühl durchdringt die Zeit bleibe stehen und er während seiner hypnotischen DJ-Sets seinen eigenen Mikrokosmos generieren und andere Nervensysteme in einen euphorischen Rauschzustand versetzen kann. Musikalisch bewegt sich Jan r.k. auf dem Minimal-Sektor, den er ganz eigen interpretiert. Seine organisch, synthetischen Beats treffen mit ihrem reduzierten und basslastigen Wesen den Zeitgeist der Szene. Die einzigartige Spannung zwischen Chaos, Sparsamkeit und Experimentierfreude auf der einen, Energie und Funktionalität auf der anderen Seite, verleiht seinem GrOove fast schon eine spirituelle Aura.
Jans Katechismus verleiht seinen DJ-Sets einen unverkennbaren Charakter. Er liebt endlos lange Übergänge, arbeitet mit Loops und verfeinert seine Mixe mit perfekt ausgewählten Effekten. Er liebt die Unabhängigkeit und möchte im künstlerischen Bereich keine Kompromisse eingehen
